Historical and practical examples are woven throughout this MasterClass to cement your economic literacy. By the end of this MasterClass, you’ll likely be thinking and talking like a pure-bred economist.

Each of the following eight sections is filled with detailed content, real-life examples, personal anecdotes from your expert and practical activities.

  • Why are some countries rich and others poor?
  • Why should a government intervene in the market?
  • Are big companies or small ones better for the economy?
  • Do taxes reduce growth and employment?
  • Is globalization good for Americans?
  • Why have incomes become so unequal?
  • Why are there repeated financial crises?
  • Why does the cost of health care rise faster than the cost of nearly everything else?
